Robert FrostĪn emblem is like a symbol in being something material and momentary that stands for something spiritual and eternal. If my poetry has to have a name, I'd prefer to call it 'Emblemism,' not 'Symbolism,' which is all too likely to clog up and kill a poem.
I showed it to Tim, and he thought it might have a place here, as part of the Frost in Summer program. This is something I cobbled together for my own notes.
